For anyone who has watched the groynes taking shape along the St Francis Bay coastline, this new video provides some valuable background to what is happening on our beaches.
The 12-minute video looks at the St Francis Property Owners NPC Long-Term Coastal Protection Scheme (LTCPS). It explains how the project developed, what it aims to achieve and how the different elements work together.
Protecting The St Francis Bay Coastline
The LTCPS combines a series of groynes with ongoing beach nourishment. Together, they are designed to help retain sand and rebuild sections of the St Francis Bay coastline.
However, what residents see happening on the beach today is the result of years of planning, specialist studies, engineering work and consultation.
Brad’s video brings much of that history together in an accessible format. It also uses footage from around St Francis Bay to show the scale of the work and how the various parts of the scheme fit together.
The Story Behind The Project
