As the school holidays approach, Kouga Local Municipality ensures beachgoers’ safety by having our lifeguards on duty across popular swimming spots.
From 1 April to 30 April, trained lifeguards will be on duty at Cape St Francis Blue Flag Beach and Dolphin Beach Blue Flag Beach in Jeffreys Bay, providing a watchful eye over the waves from 08:00 to 17:00 daily.

Granny’s Pool, St Francis Main Beach

Other popular beaches in the region, including Kabeljous Beach and Lagoon, Aston Beach and Lagoon, Paradise Beach, Pelsrus Beach, Granny’s Pool, and St Francis Main Beach, will also be patrolled by lifeguards from 1 April to 21 April during the same hours.
Kouga Local Municipality urges all visitors and residents to swim only in designated areas where lifeguards are present, ensuring a safe and enjoyable seaside experience.
