– Kouga Municipality is delighted to welcome the announcement that Jeffreys Bay will once again be a stop on the prestigious World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) in 2025.
From 11 July to 20 July 2025, the world’s top surfers will compete at the renowned right-hand point break, Supertubes, during the event’s waiting period. This is a prime period for waves at Supertubes in JBay. Winter swells march up the coast from cold fronts hitting Cape Town, accompanied by the favourable southwesterly offshore winds. Furthermore, this makes for perfect waves reeling down the point at the best wave in South Africa.

Also the vibrant surfing culture that has been cultivated here over the years. Furthermore, it also showcases our commitment to fostering international sportsmanship and promoting both local and global tourism.
