St Francis road works are scheduled from 12 to 17 October 2026, according to a Kouga Local Municipality notice. The programme includes refurbishment, resurfacing and pothole patching in St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis.

Meanwhile, a separate weekly schedule covers pothole repairs and stormwater maintenance from 12 to 16 October.

St Francis Bay Road Maintenance

In St Francis Bay, Cayenne Drive and Palamos Street are scheduled for asphalt overlays. Sunset Drive will receive priming and an asphalt overlay.

Diaz Drive, Ginger Joll, Pepper Street and Nutmeg Lane are listed for priming and slurry overlays. In addition, Canal Road and Ibizia Crescent will receive vegetation clearing and surface repairs.

Pothole patching is planned for Oyster Row, Tumeric Turn, Sea Glade, Cinnamon Street, Ramazini Road and Esmaralda Road.

Together, these scheduled tasks cover several residential streets across the town. However, the type of work varies between roads, as outlined in the municipal notice.

Pothole Repairs And Stormwater Maintenance

In Cape St Francis, the municipality has scheduled pothole patching for President Reitz Road and Panaghia Street.

The separate weekly projection lists pothole repairs for Elf Street and Grand Camore Street. Meanwhile, Assisi Drive and Diana Crescent are scheduled for stormwater maintenance.

These weekly projections run until Friday, 16 October. The road refurbishment notice extends to Saturday, 17 October.

Travelling During St Francis Road Works

During the St Francis road works, the municipality asks residents and taxi drivers to travel carefully around construction areas.

Motorists should follow road markings and observe temporary closures where required. Furthermore, residents in affected streets are asked to limit road use while contractors complete the resealing.

This will give crews space to carry out the scheduled work safely and efficiently.

Residents can also help by reporting potholes to the Kouga Municipal Call Centre. Reports can be sent via WhatsApp to 081 760 9183. Alternatively, residents can phone 042 200 2200 to report a pothole.
