St Francis Flash Float Returns – And It Looks Like It Could Be Huge!

Grab your floaties, sunnies, bikinis, boardies and your crew, because the Flash Float returns with force to St Francis Bay on December 30, 2025.

Float, Laugh, Repeat

The Flash Float has become one of those local rituals that makes perfect sense once you have done it and no sense at all until you have. It is part parade, part picnic with libations, part gentle, drifting chaos on water. Expect an armada of inflatables, music that changes with every boat and a fair amount of questionable steering techniques on unsteerable water-based vehicles.

This year, it is back in its usual form: same place, same route, 10 AM start. The formula works, so there is no need to fix it. Bring your friends, bring something that floats, bring extra sunscreen and then some more, maybe some extra water/drinks of choice and try to stay facing the same direction as the tide.

Tickets will be released in early December. They tend to vanish quickly, not because of hype, but because everyone secretly enjoys seeing their neighbour suffering the ignominy of falling off a lilo in public.
