The Seal Point Boardriders Club will host its annual championships on Saturday, 27 September and Sunday, 28 September 2025 at Seal Point, Cape St Francis. Registration will begin at 07:00 on Seal Point Boulevard on Saturday. Heats will run throughout both days.
The championships will include divisions for Under 14, Under 18, Open, Over 40s, Over 50s, Over 60s, Girls Under 18, and Ladies. Each division will compete through heats, with finals taking place on Sunday. Prizes will be awarded in every category, and judging will follow the standard guidelines of the South African Surfing Association to ensure fair and consistent scoring.

Members of the Seal Point Boardriders Club will manage registration, heats, scoring, and prize-giving. So, get your registration in early; it’s going to be a busy contest!
The Boardriders Champs are a regular highlight of the club’s annual calendar. It gives surfers of all ages the chance to participate in structured competitions. Furthermore, the weekend is a community gathering, with supporters gathering on the beach and sharing in the atmosphere, accompanied by a few refreshing libations for those of age.
Prize-giving
After the finals, a prize-giving ceremony will be held, accompanied by braais, food, and refreshing libations for all of age. In addition to division winners, prizes will be handed out for fun and unusual categories.
