In a surprising turn of events, reigning World Champion Tom Gray was eliminated in the Open Round of 32, ensuring that a new World Champion will be crowned this year. Meanwhile, legendary Australian kneeboarder Simon Farrer has made a strong impression with his powerful carves and impressive scores, earning a spot in the Quarter Finals.
The Australian father-son duo, Pete and Owen Fairwether, have both advanced to the Open Men’s Quarterfinals, with Owen delivering standout performances and consistently high scores.
Additionally, Albert Munoz from Australia has maintained a strong presence in both the Grandmasters and Open divisions, demonstrating reliable and impressive surfing throughout the competition.
