The Rotary St Francis annual Christmas gift bag project, which aims to bring some Christmas cheer to the most needy among our senior citizens, was launched on 1 August and will run until mid-November.
Add R10 At Spar or TOPS
This year, we are asking shoppers at Spar and TOPS in St Francis Bay and Humansdorp to add R10.00 to their bill at the stores’ tills. All proceeds will go towards filling as many bags as possible with much-needed basic hygiene products and a few sweets and luxuries that those dependent on SASSA grants cannot afford.
Golden Oldies Gift Bags Project
We are very grateful to Spar management for agreeing to work with us to bring a little cheer to our elderly community. This year, we will be distributing our gift bags at Ons Tuiste Retirement Home and Assisted Living facility in Humansdorp, in Sea Vista, through our Sibanye Ladies network and to needy patients in the care of Hospice. Our target is to fill 200 bags or more!
