This list of answers to Frequently Asked Questions should put everyone at ease and in the know.

What is this event: Wine On Water (WoW) is a Rotary Club of St Francis initiative to raise much-needed funding for their many projects in the greater St Francis area, kindly sponsored by Investec. This wine-tasting event will take place on various decks outside private homes on the St Francis canals.

When: Wine On Water will take place on 25/26 February 2022.

Where will the event take place: The WoW Festival will take place on the decks of homes located on the St Francis canals with wine estates located on the decks.

Where do I register: The registration tent and WoW pack collection will be The Quays Restaurant on Sea Glades Drive.

Where Can We Get Tickets: Tickets were available on Quicket – sorry to say all sold out!

Are Tickets still Available: Sorry folks – the event is completely sold out!

Will There be Another Wine on Water Event?: Yes – we will be back next year – Date to be announced!

We bought tickets for the 2020 event which had to be postponed due to COVID – are these still valid?:
YES THEY ARE! Unless a refund was requested. Tickets are null and void once refunded. If you are unsure whether you requested a refund all that time ago, please check with Quicket on 021 424 9308 – or support@quicket.co.za.
If you bought tickets before the Quicket facility was available please check on wowrotarysf@gmail.com.
We would hate to disappoint you at the registration tent so check in advance if you are unsure.

What time does it start?: The event kicks off at 12 noon on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th until sunset on both days?

Where and When must we register and collect our packs?: For ticket holders, WoW packs can be collected at the ticket desk from 12h00 until 18h00 on Thursday 24th February and from 10h00 to 16h00 on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February at the ticket desk at The Quays Restaurant in Sea Glades Drive. We encourage you to collect your pack on Thursday to beat the queue

Where do we go to start?: Once you have your WoW pack and wrist band, you can plan your route (see map in the WoW pack and a large map at registration and the Small Craft Harbour) and start from 12 noon on both Friday 25th & Saturday 26th at any point on the WoW map. Remember you can move between tasting points by barge, vehicle or on foot.

Why do I need the WoW Pack?: Each ticket holder will receive a WoW pack for the event which will contain the Map and information booklet containing everything you need to know along with notes on event etiquette, handy tips on what else to do and other useful information, as well as your wrist band (which must be worn at all times during the event), and your souvenir tasting glass with sling and lanyard to hang around your neck as you travel.

How do we get access to the barges and wine tasting stations?:No WoW wrist band – no entry! Your wrist band will be in your WoW Pack and must be worn at all times.

How do we get to the event and the various stations?:Check your information booklet for details of local shuttle services to get to and from the event from your accommodation. Wine tasters can choose to be transported to the stations by barges, by vehicle or on foot.

Will Wine be on Sale at the event?:Order your wines of choice from each Wine estate at the event and they will arrange for delivery to your home. Regret no boxes of wine to be transported on barges due to space and weight constraints.

Covid-19: Please note Covid protocols apply and must be followed at all times! Remember those masks, please!

What should we wear?: Comfortable clothing with hats and sun screen advised. NB : No high heels to be worn on barges or decks.

Can we bring the kids?: No – this is an adult event for ticket holders only. No entry for anyone under 18.

What else can we do in St Francis that weekend?: Consult the WoW booklet in your pack, local press or contact St Francis Tourism 042 294 0076.

Will there by anything to eat during wine tasting or should we bring our own?: Yes – You will be able to order snack packs and picnic hampers from  “The Quays” There will be food outlets at two homes (decks) on the canals where you can purchase yummy food In addition, coffee and cold drinks and delicious Taco style snacks will be on sale at the small boat harbour.

What can I do on Saturday morning: For a relaxed outdoor shopping experience, visit the St Francis Morning Market on Saturday morning is located at 3 Assissi Drive, St Francis Bay. between 09:00 and 13:00.
