The third Rocking Retirement event hosted by Client Care was held on Friday the 13th September at the St Francis Brewery. The subject discussed was the importance of cash flow planning. The guest speaker was Tiaan Herselman, Head of Advice and propositions at Old Mutual Wealth.
The event started with an update on how AI is changing everyday life in many of our lives and was followed by a discussion and live demonstration between Tiaan & Dirk Groeneveld from Client Care of how proper cashflow planning can enhance a retiree’s retirement.
A live cashflow model was shown on the Brewery’s big screen and different scenario’s where inputted to see what was possible for the “client”. This revolved around leveraging one or a combination of the “4 levers” available to most retirement plans, namely, available assets, lifestyle costs, return required and longevity.
The audience got involved asking many questions and adding to the scenarios. the next event will be held either in early December or mid-January 2025.
