The laydown area, located off St Francis Drive and adjacent to the municipal yard, has been demarcated for rock storage during groyne construction and is currently under construction, nearing completion. The first loads of rock will arrive on Tuesday, 12 August.

The public is advised that ADTs (Articulated Dump Trucks, see below) will be transporting the rocks from the laydown area to the various drop-off points along the beach front.

Great progress. Thank you
How long is the groyne project expected to take to complete? I’ve been avidly following all the literature about it, but so far I’ve not found anything about the duration of this exercise.
This first phase of the project has a timeline of 13 and a half months.
