On February 24 the picturesque Quays of St Francis Bay will be the starting point for the much-anticipated People’s Triathlon St Francis.

Furthermore, this year’s event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, with participants gearing up for a day of intense competition and camaraderie. This against the stunning backdrop of the St Francis Bay Village canals.
As one of the main sponsors, Trollope is set to make a significant impact at the event. There are numerous teams and individuals proudly representing the brand.

Sporting Initiatives

Their presence underscores the company’s commitment to supporting local sporting initiatives. Also, fostering a culture of health and wellness within the community.
Participants in the full-distance category will face a gruelling challenge, comprising a 2km swim, 90km cycle, and 21km run. This will test their endurance and athleticism to the limit.
For those looking for a slightly shorter but no less exhilarating experience, the 2/3 distance category might suit. It offers a 1km swim, 60km cycle, and 11km run, providing a perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment.

Third Time

“We are thrilled to host the People’s Triathlon St Francis in this beautiful setting for the third time,” said race director Niel du Preez.
“It’s an event that we look forward to on the calendar, and we hope that the athletes do too. We can’t wait to see all the participants giving it their all on race day,” said Du Preez.
Also, entrants can look forward to receiving a race pack to kick-start their event experience. Further, all finishers will be rewarded with a special finishers’ gift as a token of their achievement.

Prizegiving

The excitement will continue into the evening. Thus, the prizegiving ceremony is scheduled to take place at The Quays at 17:00 on Saturday. Further, the top performers will be recognised for their outstanding efforts here.
Entries close on February 18, so there’s still time to secure your spot in this thrilling event. For more information and to register, visit zsports.co.za.
