For those that are new here, and for those that do not know how the St Francis Bay United FC started, we thought we would give you a brief history on how we got to where we are now. 
The St. Francis Bay Soccer Project kicked off back in August 2019. Masixole Qekema and I, both big soccer fans, decided to step up and volunteer as coaches for a group of 10 kids. We had both been playing soccer in our community, so it just made sense for us to pass on our soccer knowledge. It didn’t take long to see the need for youth soccer coaching. Our aim was clear: steer these young minds away from potential street troubles and enhance their football skills.
With lots of hard work, dedication, and amazing support from local businesses, our initiative really has taken off. Fast forward to today, and we are proud to say we’re an official non-profit group. We’ve got a vibrant group of over 100 kids, both boys and girls, aged 10 to 22. But it’s not just about soccer anymore. Our mission now goes beyond the soccer pitch. We are venturing into additional programs that seamlessly align with sports, offering these kids a well-rounded support system and guidance.
