SEA VISTA PRIMARY GIRLS SHINE IN ATHLETICS

Five Sea Vista Primary girls were invited to participate in the Sarah Baartman District Championships held in Port Alfred on 18 August. Ntando Dolophi took first place in the U10’s, Janett Jansen and Archelene Hendricks were placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the U12’s while Radene Groenewald and Shaneen Munnick were placed 4th and 5th in the U13’s.

These athletes went on to proudly repr4esent their school and District in the Eastern Cape Cross Country Championships on 1 September. The competition was of a very high standard and our girls gave it their best to make their school proud.

SEA VISTA PRIMARY RUGBY NEWS

The Sea Vista Primary U13 rugby team participated in the Stulting Primary Sports weekend. This was a wonderful experience for our players who had the opportunity to compete against teams who play in league competitions. The team showed great character in their matches against Border and Kings College and although they lost to the well coached Border team they managed a win against Kings College.

In addition, our U8 boys (Pienk Voete) played the warm up match for the Humansdorp Senior Secondary during their FNB Classic event. This was an unforgettable experience for our juniors who had the opportunity to lead the top teams onto the field for the main game of the day

SEA VISTA PRIMARY TENNIS PLAYERS EXCEL

Two Sea Vista Primary tennis players played their way into the Eastern Cape Provincial Championships held in July at Selbourne Park in East London. Under 13 players Henley Felix (l) and Gregan Smith (r) seen here with proud coach Mr Bradley Stefaans, played exceptionally well, missing out on qualifying for the Nationals by just one point each!

SEA VISTA PRIMARY SCHOOL GIRLS SHINE IN WOW SPELLING COMPETITION

Nineteen learners from Sea Vista Primary School took part in the WOW District Spelling Competition tool place on 26 July 2018 at Pellrus Primary in Jeffreys Bay. Four of these learners qualified for the Provincial Championship in Port Elizabeth held recently where the school’s top speller, Shamima Yousuf amazed everyone by being placed first and automatically qualifying for the National championship to be held in Stellenbosch on 20th October.

CHESS TOURNAMENT A FIRST FOR SEA VISTA PRIMARY

Sea Vista Primary School chess players took part in the Stulting Primary School’s Sports weekend recently. This was a first for the school but the players are eager to compete and so there are big plans to improve their game for next year.
