Recycling available in St Francis Bay from today!
As a coastal town we should, more than most, be aware of what plastic pollution is doing to our oceans and should be doing all we can to stop plastic waste polluting our seas. Here is a perfect opportunity to create a habit of separating the plastic from you r daily garbage and disposing of it for recycling.
The St Francis Property Owners Association (SFPO) in collaboration with the Kouga Municipality has organised a temporary recycling drop-off point at the Municipal yard on St Francis Drive for the duration of the 2018/19 holiday season. The SFPO is employing two local people to manage the site and assist with off-loading.
Paper, glass, tins and plastic, separated into bags for each type, will be accepted at the site.
Garden refuse will only be accepted if bagged and this service is for the convenience of residents only. Garden services companies must please use the formal waste site in Humansdorp as usual.
It is important to note that no household waste will be accepted. This will be collected by the Kouga Municipality refuse collection service on the established collection days.
We appeal to the public for cooperation in adhering to these conditions to facilitate the smooth running of the project.
