Off The Menu Cooking Xmas Meals For Sea Vista

Off the Menu Food Emporium St Francis Bay is closed on Christmas Day. Instead, Conrad and some of the team will be cooking meals for the less fortunate this Christmas Day.

They will endeavour to serve 100 hot meals to the Sea Vista, China Town community at 11.30 on Christmas Day morning from the Off The Menu food truck parked outside the clinic.

Anyone who would like to donate any food parcels can drop them off at Off the Menu before 8 pm Christmas Eve 24th December.

Recycling Is A Thing

By now you might find that your bins are filling up quickly, and that there is an excess of holiday junk accumulating. Recycling is the right thing to do and the local recycling centre is easy and efficient. Situated right next to the first station, they accept all standard recycling goods (cardboard, glass etc) as well as a limited amount of garden refuse.   Recycle because it’s the right thing to do. The people running the recycling centre are doing great work and they also appreciate the support.

Recycling is the way forward

Talking Of Jols

We are not in any way judgemental if people want to get a COVID jab or not, but there should be a few common-sense decisions made if you’re not vaccinated and you want to go on the jol. Try and stay in open spaces and try and keep a mask on if possible. If you happen to fall in love while on the jol this year, then just be careful. Remember that there might be a change of the status quo at any stage, and please listen out of Uncle Cyril has a family meeting sometime soon.

Thick jols, but be aware, and be careful out there. This photo was taken long before COVID was even a thing.
