Whale assisted in disentanglement operation off East London  –  SA Whale Disentanglement Network (SAWDN) were alerted by the East London ski-boaters of a 4 meter juvenile Humpback whale entangled in fishing rope 2 nautical miles off-shore of east London.

PE woman goes missing after attending church  –  Detectives in Walmer, Port Elizabeth are looking for a woman who went missing after church on Sunday.

Eastern Cape teacher suspended for alleged rape of 6-year-old pupil  –  Department of Education spokesperson Loyiso Pulumani said the teacher was in police custody after a whistle blower lifted the lid on the rape allegations.
