If there’s one event you cannot afford to miss this year it’s Emma Sadleir’s talk presented by St Francis College at St Francis Links at 18h00 on 4th October.

Everyone who uses social media needs to understand that there are legal implications and that children especially are at risk of falling foul of the law.

Emma is South Africa’s leading expert on social media law and her talk will centre around the responsible use and online safety of social media and the legal implications for children, including hate speech, cyberbullying, harassment, sexting an pornography offences.

The company Emma founded four years ago, the Digital Law Company, specialises in educating and advising corporates, employees, schools, parents, teachers, and universities on the legal, disciplinary and reputational risks of social media. Much of her work involves creating social media strategies and policies for corporates and schools. Emma was an anchor for the Oscar Pistorius Trial: A Carte Blanche Channel where, for the duration of the evidenced in the trial, she hosted a programme discussing social media, the law and court proceedings.

Tickets for this important event are on sale at R100 each and can be purchased online via Quicket http://qkt.io/emmasadleir or at St Francis College office (042 294 1395 or info@stfranciscollege.co.za)
