Surfers from around the world enjoy the world-class waves that Jeffreys Bay has to offer. This year the J-Bay Surf Festival has worked hard to create opportunities for the surf community and visitors at large to give back to Jeffreys Bay.

An NPO raffle with a total prize value of R80 000 has already kicked off, with raffle tickets available for purchase to the public at R100. Prizes include a signed Jordy Smith board, a Vissla hamper, a Sealand bag, a Yeti cooler and iconic J-Bay essentials, such as Instep Boots, a stay for 2 at African Perfection and more. Tickets are available for purchase at this link: https://dosh.ly/GtAj

Proceeds of the raffle will go to the J-Bay Surfing Foundation, which is an organisation that funds various projects in and around J-Bay and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the community while promoting a love of surfing and ocean conservation. The J-Bay Surfing Foundation, together with the Kouga Municipality, works on the upkeep of the beaches, boardwalks, and coastal gardens of Jeffreys Bay. It’s thanks to the JBSF that the town’s beaches and surrounding areas are beautifully maintained. Founded by surfers, the Foundation has been actively involved in various events, and initiatives that aim to foster a healthy and sustainable relationship between people and the ocean.

J-Bay Surf Festival will also be hosting a VIP Fundraising Dinner on the 17th of June in the Supertubes Park tent, catered by Die Viswyf. The evening will include an auction of highly exclusive articles such as surfboards from Kelly Slater, Jordy Smith, Lakey Perterson and John-John Florence, the event winners’ signed contest jerseys, paintings by local artists and much more. Gqeberha based comedian Gino Fabbri will be heading up the proceedings of the evening.

A total of 40 tables of six people each are available to be booked at R2000 per table. At the time of writing, four tables remain available and can be reserved by contacting brigittetruswell@gmail.com.
