Grace period for residents to pay their municipal debt

Residents whose municipal accounts are overdue have until 20 June 2017 to settle their debt or make arrangements to pay it off.

Kouga Executive Mayor Elza van Lingen said the municipality would be putting its credit control measures on hold till then.

“The municipality will not be cutting/blocking electricity till 20 June so as to allow affected residents the opportunity to pay their outstanding balance.

“The municipality will, however, start cutting/blocking electricity again from 21 June.”
