Aubergine plants in stock!

This gorgeous succulent is even lovelier now that its full of buds and flowers! What a striking contrast of dark purple succulent leaves and delicate pink flowers. Black Leaf Stonecrop (Sedum Bertram Anderson) is an excellent groundcover for dry sites with poor soil. It is also well suited to rock gardens, edging, & containers. A slow grower, it reaches a height of 10-15cm, and spread of 30-45cm. Clusters of purple red star flowers appear in late Summer.

Herbs in stock today: Sweet Basil, Rocket salad, Coriander, Mint, Thyme, Oregano “Hot n Spicey”, Sage, Parsley, Pineapple Mint, Chives… while stocks last!

Gardening at the coast requires thought with a choice of plants that can withstand harsh conditions.

Sea Rose (Orphium frutescens), with pretty pink flowers from November to February, is an indigenous shrub that grows to a height of about 60cm and is able to grow close to the sea.

Correa Alba has cream bell-shaped flowers through the year and makes a good hedge or small shrub to 1.5m.

Both are salt spray, wind and drought tolerant!

Snake Plant

Commonly known as mother-in-law’s tongue for its sharp leaves, the snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata) is a stylish and practical indoor addition to the office or home. Its long, sword-like leaves make a statement, and it’s known as one of the hardiest plant varieties. It is also a fantastic air filter, removing toxins to improve indoor air quality.

The snake plant has tall, sword-like leaves that grow upright. It is a flowering plant, but tends not to flower indoors. The varieties of this succulent plant include gold- or white-edged leaves, or green- and grey-mottled leaves.
