Calibre Security Crime Report summary for the period of January 2025 – February 2025
Looking back at our crime statistics over the past 2 months
January 10 incidents
February 11 incidents
Since March 2024, we had not experienced double-digit crime incidents until the past two months. Possible factors
contributing to this increase may include the release of former suspects by correctional services, as well as a daily
influx of unemployed individuals coming into our town looking for work.
We would like to emphasize once again the importance of taking the following security measures: Illuminate all entry
points, secure ladders and tools in a locked area, ensure windows and doors are locked, install security cameras, use
locks on windows, install motion sensor lights, secure your television set, add beams, and use window sensors.
For assistance, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our technical team.
Notice to Homeowners and Tenants regarding UNSECURED doors, windows, gates & other entry points
January 36 vacant unsecured homes
February 41 vacant unsecured homes
Please note that the numbers above are increasing again! One open window, door, or sliding door is one too many.
Remind your domestic worker and tenants to ensure everything is closed and locked when leaving the house. An
unsecured home is an open invitation to crime and can also lead to unnecessary false alarms.
Notice to Service Providers
Monitoring over the past 2 months has shown the following patterns in false alarms triggered by service providers:
January 33 incidents
February 32 incidents
We have again seen a rise in unnecessary alarm activations caused by service providers. Some
are not taking our requests seriously when entering homes and triggering alarms, leading to avoidable disruptions. We
strongly urge all service providers to notify our control room at 042 294 0038 before visiting our clients’ properties.
Homeowners, please remind your service providers to do the same. Your cooperation helps reduce false alarms and
ensures a more effective security response.
STAY VIGILANT AND CAUTIOUS –
REMEMBER, WE’VE ALWAYS GOT YOUR BACK!

It would be interesting to know which of the homes in the Village were occupied and which are empty holiday homes…..
