As we step into the next half of the decade, it’s a time to refresh our dreams, set new goals and extend good wishes to our families, friends, and community. For many in St Francis, this season has brought both the energy of a bustling holiday period and the promise of a well-earned break.

Maintaining St Francis’s charm as a premier holiday destination requires community effort. An example of this commitment comes from Matt Davies, Founder and Director of the Sport for Youth Project. Matt led an extensive litter cleanup along the village’s entrance road with a group of young soccer players. Sponsored by SUPERSPAR Village Square, the boys donned bright red “Happy Holidays” T-shirts and collected 16 black bags of rubbish. Their enthusiasm even turned up treasures like discarded fishing rods, ready for new life.

Building A Brighter Future

This cleanup aligns with Life Skills and Environmental Awareness programs run by the Kromme Environmental Trust, highlighting the importance of instilling respect for the environment in youth.

“We are proud to support a project that not only hones soccer skills but also instils valuable life lessons,” says Mickey Lindsay, General Manager of SUPERSPAR Village Square.

With over 120 participants aged 8–23, the Sport for Youth Project continues to inspire, teach, and empower the next generation.
