The 17th hole at St Francis Links has long been regarded as the easiest hole in St Francis for a golfing perfect fluke, a hole-in-one … and this weekend we are hoping for just that!

Pam Golding have sponsored the Ladies Open since 2006 … and a VW Polo has been on offer in many previous Pam Golding Ladies Opens but never won so what a pleasure it will be if we can hand over the keys to a lucky lady this year.

Initially it was held on the St Francis Bay course, until it was changed to a two day event, with 18 holes on both courses, played over two days.

Amongst previous local winners are: Jean Fynn, Heilie Uys, Caroline Kettlewell, Alison Bosch, Denise Perry, Sandra Marais, Helen Bridges, Dee Taylor and Lesley Davies.

The famous Saturday night themed function at St Francis Lunks is probably the real drawcard for all the many visiting golfers.

Ladies are regarded as the primary decision maker in residential property decisions, and hence Pam Golding’s long involvement with ladies sport.

We would particularly like to thank J Lo Manthe and Sally Nienaber from St Francis Golf Club and St Francis Links for their assistance with arranging this event over the last few years.
