Job Opportunity: Advertising Sales

Job Opportunity: Advertising Sales

Looking for a job?

We’re on the hunt for an advertising salesperson.

It takes a particular person to sell advertising, and if you’re that person, we’re looking forward to hearing from you. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who knows how to sell adverts for our print and web publications. We offer an exciting, commission-based earning potential. If you know your way around magazine ad sales and understand targets, incentives and bonuses, you might just be the person we’re looking for.

Wildside TIMES is a hot new local St Francis Bay print magazine on the cusp of great things, we like to believe. It comes out every two months, garnering attention from readers and advertisers alike. However, it currently needs some special person to look after the existing advertisers and secure new clients.

The West Wind is a Monthly digital lifestyle magazine covering St Francis Bay and environs that is extraordinarily popular among the locals and visitors alike. It came about around the time of lockdown, without any idea of where it would be heading, and we are currently full steam ahead for issue 16.

Should we find a person suitable for the job, there are also possible revenue streams with St Francis Today and further opportunities.

If you’re good with people, motivated to earn, and understand the business of publishing, please send a one-page covering letter to news@stfrancistoday.com and nothing else.

We’re excited to find the right person to fill this position.

The position is available immediately.

Good luck.

What’s On At The SUPERSPAR

What’s On At The SUPERSPAR

Cold mornings and balmy afternoons have been the norm for May so far. But unfortunately, the forecast looks like there isn’t going to be too much rain for the foreseeable future.

Water Crisis

The water crisis is real, with Day Zero forecast for just over two weeks time. Unfortunately, that’s just around the corner.

SUPERSPAR Village Square, we have plenty of bottled water. We have our in-store ( RO ) Reverse Osmosis filter system running at total capacity. Also, we are regularly checking the water quality from our RO system. So if you think you might need some clean drinking water, it’s a good idea to stock up on a few extra bottles of H20 over the next week or two.

Freezer Upgrades

We would like to inform our customers that we are doing a significant upgrade of our fridges and freezers in store from Sunday evening 15 May to midday, Wednesday 18 May.

This will affect all frozen goods and some cheeses. We request that you stock up before we start the upgrade, so you have those yummy goodies in your fridges!

Thank you for your understanding! We are making your shopping experience that much better!

TOPS Specials

We still have the specials going at TOPS, so pop in and grab your favourite. It might just be time for a discounted Johnny Walker Double Black bottle or something similar. The specials extend to Flying Fish, Black Labels, wine and Savannah, so something for everyone.

Weekly Price Cuts

Finally, we have our weekly Price Cuts, made even sweeter if you’re a Rewards customer. These specials last up until, and including, 15 May.

Wildside TIMES Issue 2 Out Now!

Wildside TIMES Issue 2 Out Now!

The new issue of the local St Francis Bay print mag Wildside TIMES is out today. It will be delivered during the course of the day to selected retail outlets throughout the village, and it is a FREE publication.

Included in Issue #2 is an interview with Craig Northwood, the man behind Wine On Water. In the interview, Craig tells us about the trials, as well as the triumph, that was the inaugural Wine On Water 2022.

There is also an interview with Garth Sampson, ‘The Weather Guru,’ and the surprising element of his interview, despite our water woes, is that he fears a flood more than anything else. It was great to chat with the real weather guru, with all of the weather knowledge at his fingertips, and he has some amazing stories to tell.

We preview the upcoming Concours Sur Mesure festival coming to St Francis Bay, and it looks like it might be the biggest festival to come to our village.

There are reviews on Off The Menu, The St Francis Brewery and Chokka Block, and there is a look-back at the Rip Curl GromSearch and our local lads who performed well at the event.

There is also an interview with Liam Schweitzer the winner of the inaugural Night Swim during the St Francis Resort Amanzi Challenge.

There are also some very cool giveaways. We have an amazing EZ Massager to give away, a very cool Rip Curl The Search Straw Beach Hat, as well as a case of mixed St Francis Brewery beer for one lucky reader who is over 18 years of age.

We also cover the Slipway Surf Crew and discover how and why this surf club was formed. Derek Cook tells us all about the motivation, and the club’s mission, to look after our resources.

The support has been great for this publication, from contributors as well as from advertisers, and we are looking forward to working on issue #3 soon enough.
