“Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more”  –  A Whatsapp message from Jal Rigaard, Cape St Francis Civics Chairman, on the DVG WhatsApp group midday on Thursday was possibly one of the first warning of another fire about to threaten the St Francis area.

Four nabbed with abalone on N2  –  The arrests were made by members of Humansdorp Highway Patrol and members from Operational Command Centre following a tip-off.

Garden Route hospitals to receive lifesaving machines  –  The Gift of the Givers will embark on their latest lifesaving mission this week when they deliver 250 CPAP machines to public and private hospitals as well as EMS ambulance services in the Garden Route.
