The ADCC is recognised as the most prestigious submission fighting tournament in the world, and this year, Jeffreys Bay will host the ADCC Open from the 15th – 16th of July at Mentor’s Country Estate forming a part of the J-Bay Surf Festival.

“The synergy between grappling and surfing has been around since the birth of Jiu Jitsu’s popularity and many professional surfers turn to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (submission fighting) to train both mentally and physically outside the water.” says ADCC Federation President, Kurdt George.

“Our ADCC South Africa tour started in 2015 and has grown significantly, producing a few South African champions that are making their mark on the world scene. After visiting the J-Bay festival a few years ago I was determined to get involved. It’s a huge pleasure to be invited to such a phenomenal festival to showcase the best grappling talent we have to offer.”

The ADCC Open in Jeffreys Bay will be the last stop before the ADCC Africa Championship in August and serves as excellent preparation for novices and pros alike.
