To mark annual Rotary International Family Health Days, St Francis Rotarians collaborated with the Department of Health to facilitate a Saturday morning vaccination drive at Sea Vista Hall on Saturday 11 November. With the kind assistance of Dr Jen Minaar and the Sea Vista Clinic sisters, a total of 110 children were seen and received health checks and vaccine updates.

The morning of the Rotary Family Health Day was much appreciated as it provided an opportunity for working families to bring their children’s vaccinations up to date. Each family received a small nutritious food parcel and the children each enjoyed a lollipop to help the medicine go down!

Our sincere thanks go to our wonderful Sibanye Ladies for spreading the word in the community and assisting us with registration. Thanks also go to our Village SuperSpar for providing the food parcels at a very reasonable rate. A huge thank you to Dr Minaar, and the Clinic sisters for their time and ensuring the smooth running of this very successful morning. Finally thank you to the Department of Health for agreeing to work with us and providing the vaccines and other medication.
