Busy Times Ahead

As we prepare to face what looks like one of the biggest seas of the year on Saturday, it’s time to check out what else is happening in St Francis during spring.

It is probably the second busiest time of the year, with the December holiday season topping it as the most active.

We also have so many top-notch events coming up that will bring in so many visitors to our village, and we will once again be showcased on national television, no doubt when the coverage of the PGA kicks in.

It may be crowded around the double-up weekend of the 23/24 September, when the Calamari Festival and the St Francis Links PGA run simultaneously, but it is positive and could be worse. We could all be in a lockdown or something. There’s a new Civiud wave in Canada, by the way. Let’s see how that turns out.

The best junior surfers in the country will be hitting the waves of Seal Point at the end of September, going into October, before they head over to JBay for the SA Junior Champs. We have several local surfers competing in both events.

Then it’s time for Expedition Africa, which finishes on the same day as the Rugby World Cup, which will be another breath-taking day.

After that, we should have just enough time to get our breath back and prepare for the summer season!

Are you ready?
