KOUGA – All communities are invited to connect with Kouga Municipality this August and September at various informative Kouga Mayoral Public Engagements across the region.
Forming an integral part of government public participation processes, the engagements are aimed at bringing local government closer to the people whereby the municipality interacts with communities regarding service delivery requests, as well as upcoming service delivery projects in their areas and progress on existing ones.
The programme will further include an opportunity for community members to ask questions and give comment on government programmes being run in Kouga.
Kouga Executive Mayor, Hattingh Bornman, said, “The engagements are a two-way communication system aimed at presenting the municipal service delivery report and community involvement in decision-making processes of the municipality – bringing council closer to the people.
“It is also about giving them feedback throughout the service delivery cycle.
“Our decision to continuously engage our people remains the primary focus of this municipality as they are at the heart of everything we do.”
All residents and stakeholder groups are invited to attend the events.
