Food & Wine benefits Hospice

One of the highlights of the St Francis Christmas calendar is the annual St Francis Food and Wine Festival hosted by St Francis Links. Last year’s event was no exception with over 300 enthusiastic tasters  and buyers attending the festival, a partnership with the Links, NLR Wines and Tops Village Square. The event featured 18 suppliers and wine estates and even a craft beer producer from the Western Cape.

The event held this past December raised some R44000 and the money was recently donated to St Francis Hospice (Kouga). Seen in the photo below with Ingrid Williams who accepted it on their behalf, is Jeff Clause (St Francis Links) and Richard Moolman (Tops Village Square).

A Teddy Valentine

Teddy’s for Disney Crèche Kids

Two St Francis Bay business owners joined forces to bring a little love and joy to the children at the Balobi Disney Centre Crèche in Sea Vista on Valentine’s Day.  Well known Anne d’Aussy, owner of Bard’Au Beauty and Wellness in the Spar Centre and Richard Arderne of Pam Golding Properties celebrated a Teddy Bear Valentine’s with the kids.

The teddy bears were donated by The Julien d’Aussy (Anne’s  late father) Foundation and is an initiative of Pam Golding (see previous Pam Golding ‘Give a Teddy’ initiative).

The Julien d’Aussy Foundation supports  vulnerable children in SA with the aim of assisting with education and feeding programs for those less fortunate than ourselves.
